Capture
the power of the sun for all of your hot water needs.
-
Can reduce
annual hot water production costs by as much as 80-100%
-
Provides
independence from fossil fuels for a significant part of the
year
-
Generates zero
greenhouse gas CO2 emissions
-
Multiple uses
including: Radiant floor heating, domestic hot water,
pool and spa heating
Wood Stove Solar Kits
How it works:
Water is heated by collectors,
pumped into the stove when solar energy is available (sun is
out). When the sensor detects a difference in temperature,
the pump comes on and remains on until tank temperature is
achieved or no more sun is available. The system is freeze
proof because all of the water drains back into the furnace when
the pump is turned off by the automatic controller.
-

Solar Kit For Domestic Hot
Water without existing outside wood furnace
How an indirect
drain back solar water heating system works:
Water is heated indirectly through a heat exchanger contained in
the drain back tank. The system utilizes two circulation pumps.
One pump circulates water through the solar collector and back
to the exchange/drain back tank. A second pump simultaneously
circulates water from the solar storage tank into the
exchange/drain back tank transferring the heat from the water
that is being circulating through the solar collector(s) to your
hot water heater. The system is freeze proof because all the
water in the solar loop drains down into the small heat
exchange/drain back tank when the solar circulation pump is
turned off by the automatic controller. With no water remaining
in the solar collector(s) or solar plumbing, no freezing of the
system can occur.
How an indirect
Glycol solar water heating system works:
Glycol (non-toxic antifreeze mixture) runs through a system of
piping, connected to the solar collector and at the other end to
a holding tank. The anti-freeze is pumped through the closed
loop system, where it is heated in the solar panel then has its
heat transferred to water in a water tank, similar to the tank
in any regular water heater. The water is then transferred to
your hot water heater.

outside wood furnace
